About the Book
Parenting or working with a child with Pathological Demand Avoidance can leave adults wondering why strategies that seem to work for other children so often backfire.
The PDA Kids Solution offers a different starting point: understanding what’s happening beyond the behavior. Drawing from attachment, nervous-system safety, Collaborative & Proactive Solutions, and Stacey’s Comfort & Trust framework, the book helps adults move away from escalating cycles of pressure and mistrust and toward curiosity, collaboration, and connection.
At its heart is a simple question: What changes when we stop asking, “How do I get this child to comply?” and start asking, “What’s making this hard, and how can we figure out what works together?”
Coming September 2027 from New Harbinger Publications.
